MICT is very lucky to be able to bring this band to Strasbourg, to share this gem of Ukrainian culture with the French public.  They represent the wonderful combinations of craziness and creativity that only western Ukraine can produce.

The evening will be opened up with a "Paysage Musicale" created by DJ Derbastler (Kyiv).

Then you will be propelled into the fabulous world of Perkalaba, an energetic mix of ancient Hutzul melodies with the power of ska and punk.  They will be presenting their newest album "DIDO" as well as the best tracks from their previous 5 albums.

The afterparty, "Carpathian Dances" will be provided by our local Ukrainian DJ, zarbazan.ua.

First of all one thing has to be mentioned, this band doesn't just pretend to be nuts, they are! That's why they perform with a psychiatrist.

In addition to their musical qualities, it's their curious sense of humor that really sets this band apart. Named after a tiny Hutzul village in the Ukrainian Carpathian mountains, which is their musical Zion, they mix all kinds of music of the Ukrainian regions with punk and ska elements to form an energetic Hutzul-ethno-ska that is not only extremely danceable but also comes with beautiful melodies. Their freaky show, the charismatic singer and their joy of playing fascinates the audience even when their gigs last up to two and a half hours (which is not atypical for them).

Perkalaba have a profound sense of nonsense, so spontaneous unplugged sessions at all imaginable places are one of their joyous peculiarities.
